The development of the Andy Hunter Swimming initiative was born from the fact that high performance swimmers in N.Ireland had nowhere further to go to enhance and develop their swimming performance. It has long been recognised that swimmers who are limited and restricted by club level training, for whatever reason, simply had no other option. That is no longer the status quo for a high performance achiever who wants to go further. We in N. Ireland have been sadly lacking in any viable additional development programme of sufficient kudos and caliber, where a potential Olympic swimmer can go to train, develop, enhance and enrich themselves within this sport on an individual basis. Andy has recognised this fact and has now offered a new platform for all qualifying high performance swimmers, from all clubs in N. Ireland & Ireland. The opportunity now exists, to train with like minded swimmers under his extensive and demanding coaching methods, yet still combine their own club training and status as part of their overall personal development programme.

AHA Juniors
Due to the growing success of Andy Hunter's Academy and by popular demand from our existing and new clients, we have decided to launch a new aspect to our performance training services, namely AHA Juniors. We would welcome all enquiries from prospective clients, clubs and parents who feel their young elite swimmers would benefit from structured and focused performance training, that will improve swim speed and overall technique, while still being sensitive to the special concerns required for those younger athletes.

AHA Elite AHA is a High Performance training system for Elite swimmers. Swimmers train together in small groups of between 3 and 8 members under Andy’s expert guidance. Andy offers technical advice on all aspects of swimming and provides a quality training session with like minded swimmers. These currently take place in Belfast however we anticipate moving into other areas as well. To become a member of AHA’s Elite sessions, swimmers must have a qualifying time for the Irish Long Course Championships or be within 3% of their Ulster Squad time. Having received payment and signed Code of Conduct, AHA offers a 3 week trial period to prospective swimmers. Each swimmer will sign up for a 14 week cycle from September-December, January-April and April-July.
